About Us

Vivekananda College of Education owes its inception in 1995 to Vivekananda Society of Education & Research, registered with the J&K state according to Registration of societies Act :Of 1998 (1994-AD). It is the society that takes upon itself the achievement of following lofty objectives:

• Disseminating knowledge and information
• Imparting education
• Bringing about social & cultural awakening
• Paving the way for 'Scientific and technological advancement'
• Promoting thoughts and publishing literatures consistent with national heritage and 'Bhartiya Sanskriti'.
• Delivering religious instructions to the students and to the outsiders.
• Uplifting the children of backward classes, schedule castes and those from backward & tribal areas by eradicating illiteracy among them.
• Establishing libraries and publishing books & periodicals.

Arranging playgrounds for outdoor & indoor games and constructing stadium & swimming pools. Above all the society's avowed goal is to impart education to children of both the sexes on the line which shall lay emphasis on character building, inculcating love in them for their country & culture and thus proving patriotic & law abiding citizens.
